Posi­tion Profile:

Demon­strates lead­er­ship and role mod­el­ling in the care of preg­nant women seek­ing preg­nan­cy, birthing, and post­na­tal care with­in the com­mu­ni­ty and Fam­i­ly Birth Cen­tre (MGP). Respon­si­ble for the deliv­ery of the qual­i­ty women’s cen­tred care, devel­op­ing stan­dards of prac­tise, imple­ment­ing changes to clin­i­cal prac­tice and ini­ti­at­ing research and qual­i­ty improve­ment activ­i­ties. Pro­vides a con­sul­ta­tive ser­vice with­in area of exper­tise to cos­tumers with­in the hospital.

The WA Coun­try Health Ser­vice (WACHS) Mid­west health region of West­ern Aus­tralia cov­ers more than 470,000 square kilo­me­tres, near­ly one fifth of the State, with its pop­u­la­tion con­cen­trat­ed along the coast.
