An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager to join the After-Hours team at Carnarvon Health Campus – Midwest.

This is for a Per­ma­nent, Fixed Term or Casu­al appoint­ment at var­i­ous hours per fort­night, with the pos­si­bil­i­ty of extension(s) and/​or permanency.

To be suc­cess­ful, you will have…

  • Demon­strat­ed abil­i­ty as a leader/​coordinator in a diverse team environment.
  • Advanced clin­i­cal prac­tice in a vari­ety of acute set­tings includ­ing the abil­i­ty to per­form under pressure.
  • High­ly devel­oped inter­per­son­al and nego­ti­a­tion skills, oral and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and proven abil­i­ty to build and main­tain relationships.
  • Under­stand­ing of con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment pro­grams and risk management.
  • Com­put­er lit­er­a­cy and an abil­i­ty to utilise infor­ma­tion systems.
  • Well-devel­oped con­cep­tu­al, ana­lyt­i­cal and eval­u­a­tion skills includ­ing the abil­i­ty to pro­vide inno­v­a­tive solu­tions to com­plex and sen­si­tive problems.
  • Abil­i­ty and will­ing­ness to par­tic­i­pate in an after-hours shift work ros­ter, includ­ing week­ends, pub­lic hol­i­days, nights, after­noons and day shifts as required.

Posi­tion Profile:

Pro­vides after hours admin­is­tra­tion and bed man­age­ment for Carnar­von Hos­pi­tal. Demon­strates lead­er­ship and role mod­el­ling. Pro­motes and ensures main­te­nance of clin­i­cal stan­dards of qual­i­ty of care.

Eli­gi­ble nurs­es and mid­wives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in sup­port over 12 months.
