This is for a Permanent Fulltime appointment at 76 hours per fortnight

Posi­tion Profile:

Through effec­tive nurs­ing clin­i­cal lead­er­ship is respon­si­ble for stan­dards of nurs­ing prac­tice and mon­i­tor­ing client/​patient care in the area of respon­si­bil­i­ty. Pro­motes and main­tains col­lab­o­ra­tive rela­tion­ships with clients, car­ers, peers, vis­i­tors, med­ical staff and oth­er mem­bers of the team. Man­age­ment of human and mate­r­i­al resources and envi­ron­men­tal safe­ty for the pro­vi­sions of safe and cost-effec­tive care with the area of responsibility.

The Coun­try Nurs­ing & Mid­wifery incen­tive pro­gram is avail­able to new and exist­ing nurs­es and mid­wives — across a broad range of patient-fac­ing roles — on fixed term or per­ma­nent con­tracts at eli­gi­ble loca­tions. Eli­gi­ble nurs­es and mid­wives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in sup­port over 12 months (WA Coun­try Health Ser­vice — Coun­try Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Incen­tive Pro­gram).

Area Pro­file

The Pil­bara is WA’s sec­ond most north­ern region, defined by the Indi­an Ocean to the west and the North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry bor­der to the east. The Kim­ber­ley Region lies to its north across the Great Sandy Desert and the Pilbara’s south­ern reach­es bor­der the Mid­west and Gold­fields regions. The region cov­ers a total area of 507,896sq km (includ­ing off­shore islands). Most of the inhab­i­tants are in the west­ern third, where­as the east­ern third is large­ly desert with few inhab­i­tants. Today the Pil­bara econ­o­my is cru­cial to the State, pro­vid­ing 2 of the State’s largest export rev­enue earn­ers – iron ore and liq­ue­fied nat­ur­al gas.
