Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Finance Officer to provide essential financial and administrative support across all facets of the finance functions, particularly in accounts payable and receivables, as well as bank clearing and reconciliation. This role plays a crucial part in fostering a workplace culture that reflects our organisational values.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting the Chief Financial Officer, this position plays a key role within our finance team. We are looking for an experienced finance professional who has high attention to detail, is proactive, and has strong communication skills. This is a multifaceted position that will cover a variety of corporate administrative functions, including:
- Oversee payroll functions and ensure accurate processing.
- Handling accounts payable/receivable transactions and reconciliation.
- Processing bank reconciliations, including credit cards.
- Assisting the CFO with end of month journals and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Assist and support the corporate audit functions.
- Assist in managing finance and accounting activities of the organisation to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer with key projects and priorities.
- Support and drive process improvements across finance functions and corporate workflows.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a driven professional ready to join our team and hit the ground running!
- Minimally three years’ experience working within a similar finance position.
- Strong technological literacy with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary systems and platforms with proven experience in Xero (or similar), Microsoft suite, in particular, intermediate to advance excel skills.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a drive for innovation and best practice.
- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders and a commitment to our organisational purpose and mission.
