As per mer­it selec­tion prin­ci­ples, an applicant’s suit­abil­i­ty for this vacan­cy will be deter­mined hav­ing regard to their knowl­edge, skills, qual­i­fi­ca­tions and expe­ri­ence, and poten­tial for future devel­op­ment. Whilst a post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion is an essen­tial require­ment for ongo­ing appoint­ment to this vacan­cy, all appli­cants will be assessed. If the most suit­able appli­cant does not hold the qual­i­fi­ca­tion, they may be appoint­ed on a fixed basis with ongo­ing appoint­ment sub­ject to attain­ing the qual­i­fi­ca­tion dur­ing the fixed term. One vacan­cy is avail­able, either ongo­ing or fixed for 2 years.

We’re look­ing for a ded­i­cat­ed leader to over­see our Remote Sex­u­al Health Pro­gram, ensur­ing high-qual­i­ty ser­vice deliv­ery and com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment across Cen­tral Aus­tralia. You’ll be respon­si­ble for man­ag­ing pro­gram oper­a­tions, includ­ing trip plan­ning, data man­age­ment, stake­hold­er engage­ment, and resource coor­di­na­tion, all while uphold­ing the val­ues of safe, respon­sive, and kind healthcare.

In this role, you’ll lever­age your advanced clin­i­cal exper­tise and lead­er­ship skills to guide and sup­port a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team, ensur­ing excel­lence in ser­vice deliv­ery. You’ll over­see finan­cial and human resource man­age­ment, dri­ve oper­a­tional plan­ning, and pro­mote con­tin­u­ous improve­ment in health­care prac­tices. Your abil­i­ty to build strong rela­tion­ships with inter­nal and exter­nal stake­hold­ers will be cru­cial in cre­at­ing col­lab­o­ra­tive and cul­tur­al­ly informed health­care solu­tions. Flex­i­bil­i­ty is key — you’ll need a cur­rent NT driver’s licence (or be will­ing to obtain one), 4WD train­ing, and the abil­i­ty to trav­el to remote com­mu­ni­ties, some­times for up to a week at a time.
