You will devel­op qual­i­ty sys­tems that sup­port remote areas in the man­age­ment of Dia­betes and Vas­cu­lar dis­ease while pro­vid­ing sound pro­fes­sion­al advice crit­i­cal in deal­ing with sig­nif­i­cant issues relat­ed to assess­ment, plan­ning, review, eval­u­a­tion, and coor­di­na­tion of client care in defined prac­tice area.

Addi­tion­al­ly, you will sup­port excel­lence in nurs­ing and mid­wifery care by men­tor­ing and mod­el­ling advanced clin­i­cal skills and knowl­edge while assist­ing less expe­ri­enced staff in their pro­fes­sion­al development.

The suc­cess­ful appli­cant will:

• Demon­strate proven expe­ri­ence in dia­betes edu­ca­tion and man­age­ment across diverse settings.
• Have the abil­i­ty to sup­port, men­tor, and edu­cate staff while work­ing with­in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team.
• Have expe­ri­ence dri­ving a man­u­al vehi­cle and be eli­gi­ble to obtain a NT Dri­vers Licence
• Be will­ing to trav­el to remote com­mu­ni­ties by 4WD or light air­craft on a reg­u­lar basis and stay for up to a week as required. 

Where pos­si­ble the suc­cess­ful appli­cant will: 

• • Have a post grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Dia­betes Education 
  • Be eli­gi­ble for cre­den­tial­ing with the Aus­tralian Dia­betes Edu­ca­tor Association
