You will be living on a remote community and working within a multidisciplinary health team providing primary health care and emergency services in a culturally appropriate manner to meet the needs of clients and their families.

Nurse Lev­el 4 RDO (Remu­ner­a­tion Pack­age Range $140,786 — $151,125) (Com­pris­ing salary $120,114 — $130,347 super­an­nu­a­tion, leave load­ing and the val­ue of 2 weeks extra recre­ation leave)

  • Pri­ma­ry and Pub­lic Health Care Cen­tral Aus­tralia – Remote Services 
  • Fixed vacan­cy for up to 18 months/​ongoing vacan­cies avail­able in sev­er­al loca­tions through­out the North­ern Territory

Whilst a post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion is an essen­tial require­ment for ongo­ing appoint­ment to this vacan­cy, all appli­cants will be assessed. If the most suit­able appli­cant does not hold the qual­i­fi­ca­tion, they may be appoint­ed on a fixed basis with ongo­ing appoint­ment sub­ject to attain­ing the qual­i­fi­ca­tion dur­ing the fixed term. Sev­er­al vacan­cies are avail­able, either ongo­ing or fixed for 18 months.

About the job
You will be liv­ing on a remote com­mu­ni­ty and work­ing with­in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary health team pro­vid­ing pri­ma­ry health care and emer­gency ser­vices in a cul­tur­al­ly appro­pri­ate man­ner to meet the needs of clients and their fam­i­lies. Ser­vices are pro­vid­ed with­in a clin­i­cal gov­er­nance frame­work and there are fan­tas­tic learn­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties in all aspects of ser­vice delivery. 

About you

  • You will have exten­sive broad bases clin­i­cal nurs­ing expe­ri­ence rel­e­vant to pri­ma­ry health care practice
  • Hold a cur­rent Remote Emer­gency qual­i­fi­ca­tion, Mater­ni­ty Emer­gency qual­i­fi­ca­tion and Vac­ci­na­tion Providers Certificate
  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia or eli­gi­ble for same.
