The Role:
The Nurse Unit Man­ag­er will be respon­si­ble for the day-to-day oper­a­tions of the facil­i­ty. You will ensure high-qual­i­ty ser­vices a pro­vid­ed to the patients with­in applic­a­ble time­frames. You will work towards finan­cial time­frames and bud­getary require­ments. There will be a focus on qual­i­ty stan­dards and leg­isla­tive requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

• Respon­si­ble for main­tain­ing up to date and res­i­dent-focused clin­i­cal and prac­tice standards
• You will man­age and mon­i­tor res­i­dent care ser­vices and ensure they are in line with poli­cies and rel­e­vant standards
• Have a thor­ough under­stand­ing of the fed­er­al fund­ing frame­work for aged care
• Respon­si­ble for ensur­ing bud­getary expec­ta­tions are main­tained and that strate­gies are in place
• Estab­lish appro­pri­ate staff skills are reflect­ed at all times to ensure safe and qual­i­ty care to residents 

Cri­te­ria:

• Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with AHPRA
• Proven nurs­ing lead­er­ship experience
• Under­stand­ing and expe­ri­ence in aged care, Nurs­ing Stan­dards and ACFI
• Demon­strat­ed com­mit­ment to excel­lent patient care
• Autonomous and self-directed
• Well-devel­oped and recent clin­i­cal skills
• Excel­lent writ­ten and oral com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills
• Post-grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions well regarded
• Valid police check
