We are offer­ing you an excit­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty to join the Roy­al Fly­ing Doc­tor Ser­vice South East­ern Sec­tion (RFDSSE) as the Rur­al and Remote Clin­i­cal Edu­ca­tor.

The Role

The Rur­al and Remote Clin­i­cal Edu­ca­tor will be respon­si­ble for deliv­er­ing the edu­ca­tion and train­ing pro­grams for all clin­i­cal areas and under­tak­ing assess­ments in line with manda­to­ry train­ing and scope of practice.

You will col­lab­o­rate with a tal­ent­ed team of high­ly skilled pro­fes­sion­als to man­age, devel­op and coor­di­nate nurs­ing and mid­wifery train­ing activ­i­ties includ­ing spe­cif­ic needs for the avi­a­tion envi­ron­ment, sup­port­ing the deliv­ery of improved health out­comes to the com­mu­ni­ties we serve. 

Essen­tial Criteria:

  • Rel­e­vant nurs­ing reg­is­tra­tion with AHPRA and Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Australia
  • Post­grad­u­ate reg­is­tra­tions in Mid­wifery / Crit­i­cal Care – (ED/ICU)
  • Cert IV in Train­ing & Assess­ment (or will­ing to achieve with­in 6 months)
  • Proven train­ing skills
  • Clin­i­cal com­pe­tence in area of practice 
  • Main­te­nance of advanced clin­i­cal prac­tice skills and com­pe­ten­cies e.g.: BLS/ACLS

The role can be locat­ed in:

  • Dub­bo; or
  • Bro­ken Hill.
