Here at Sus­tain­Health we are work­ing with a rep­utable aged care provider in South West Syd­ney who are seek­ing a strong and pas­sion­ate clin­i­cal leader to join their team in a large, well-estab­lished res­i­den­tial aged care home.

About the Role 
As the Care Man­ag­er you’ll work along­side the Facil­i­ty Man­ag­er to over­see the clin­i­cal oper­a­tions of the home. You’ll lead, sup­port and men­tor a team of Clin­i­cal Coor­di­na­tors, Reg­is­tered Nurs­es, Enrolled Nurs­es and Care Sup­port staff to ensure high stan­dards of per­son-cen­tered care are deliv­ered consistently. 

Key Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

• Lead and man­age the clin­i­cal and care team across a large res­i­den­tial aged care facility
• Sup­port clin­i­cal assess­ments, care plan­ning and ensure com­pli­ance with aged care standards
• Pro­vide lead­er­ship, men­tor­ship, and edu­ca­tion to clin­i­cal staff
• Man­age clin­i­cal risk, inci­dent report­ing, infec­tion con­trol and WHS procedures
• Dri­ve con­tin­u­ous improve­ment ini­tia­tives and main­tain best-prac­tice clin­i­cal governance
• Col­lab­o­rate with res­i­dents, fam­i­lies, allied health and key stakeholders

What You’ll Bring:

• Cur­rent AHPRA reg­is­tra­tion as a Reg­is­tered Nurse
• Min­i­mum of 5 years’ expe­ri­ence as an RN in aged care
• Min­i­mum of 3 years in a man­ag­er role, ide­al­ly in a large home
• Sol­id under­stand­ing of aged care leg­is­la­tion, clin­i­cal com­pli­ance and accred­i­ta­tion standards
• Strong lead­er­ship and team man­age­ment skills
• Excel­lent com­mu­ni­ca­tion, prob­lem-solv­ing and doc­u­men­ta­tion skills
• Pas­sion for deliv­er­ing high-qual­i­ty, per­son-cen­tered care

Desir­able:

• Post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions in Aged Care or Management
• Recent man­age­ment expe­ri­ence work­ing in a large aged care res­i­den­tial facility
