$108,225 — $115,615 per annum

About the role:
The role of the Sexual Health Nurse/AHP — Point of care testing program is to support the increase of sexual health point of care testing in Congress services with the aim to reduce time to treatment, identification of contacts and reduce risk of potential complications and clients lost to follow up.
This is a service delivery position, with considerable time spent on clinical activities, both in the clinic and undertaking point of care tests remotely.
These tasks are conducted under the direct supervision and mentoring of the Sexual Health Coordinator to ensure best clinical practice and build specialist skills and knowledge within the Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus and Public Health Program context.
Who are we looking for?
Someone to complement our dynamic team with the following essential requirements
- Registered or eligible for registration as a health professional with the relevant board and knowledge of priorities in Aboriginal primary health care and Sexual Health and Blood Borne Viruses in central Australia.
- Ability to work effectively in a small multidisciplinary team and under supervision and direction, utilising time management and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to use a computer and its applications including Microsoft applications.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Willingness to adhere to the Congress Smoke Free Workplace Policy.
- Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
