Josh is a remote area nurse who has worked in var­i­ous posi­tions across Queensland’s Cape York for the last 17 years, includ­ing in sev­er­al key lead­er­ship roles. He is cur­rent­ly the Direc­tor of Nurs­ing for Lock­hart Riv­er and Coen — a role that sees him respon­si­ble for the day-to-day deliv­ery of front­line health­care to two Indige­nous com­mu­ni­ties. He has also worked in emer­gency depart­ments in NSW and has spent two years on the Isle of Man work­ing in Coro­nary Care units.

Josh has post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions in men­tal health nurs­ing, rur­al and remote health­care, lead­er­ship, and man­age­ment. He is cur­rent­ly study­ing to become a nurse prac­ti­tion­er at Flinders University.

Josh is a Fel­low of CRANAplus and has played an active role in the organ­i­sa­tion for many years includ­ing the nation­al round­table, con­fer­ence pan­el dis­cus­sions and con­tri­bu­tions to pol­i­cy discussions.
