Kate is a remote and rur­al health leader with exten­sive expe­ri­ence in both emer­gency and Pri­ma­ry Health nurs­ing and health­care man­age­ment in remote Queens­land and rur­al Vic­to­ria. Kate has a strong back­ground in lead­ing mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary teams, fos­ter­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion, and ensur­ing the pro­vi­sion of safe and high-qual­i­ty patient care in rur­al and remote settings.

Her career spans roles in both clin­i­cal and dig­i­tal health lead­er­ship, and she has a strong inter­est in pro­mot­ing the use of dig­i­tal tech­nol­o­gy in health. Kate has been an active advo­cate for work­force devel­op­ment, Indige­nous-led health­care mod­els, and grow your own’ ini­tia­tives to build sus­tain­able local capacity.

As a mem­ber of the CRANAplus Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Round­table, Kate is engaged in shap­ing the future of rur­al and remote health­care. She reg­u­lar­ly con­tributes to pol­i­cy dis­cus­sions, con­fer­ence pan­els, and edu­ca­tion­al ini­tia­tives, pro­mot­ing the impor­tance of equi­table health­care access for all Australians.
