Kate is a remote and rural health leader with extensive experience in both emergency and Primary Health nursing and healthcare management in remote Queensland and rural Victoria. Kate has a strong background in leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the provision of safe and high-quality patient care in rural and remote settings.
Her career spans roles in both clinical and digital health leadership, and she has a strong interest in promoting the use of digital technology in health. Kate has been an active advocate for workforce development, Indigenous-led healthcare models, and ‘grow your own’ initiatives to build sustainable local capacity.
As a member of the CRANAplus Nursing and Midwifery Roundtable, Kate is engaged in shaping the future of rural and remote healthcare. She regularly contributes to policy discussions, conference panels, and educational initiatives, promoting the importance of equitable healthcare access for all Australians.
