Nao­mi is an AHPRA reg­is­tered Aboriginal/​Torres Strait Islander Health Prac­ti­tion­er. She has been work­ing with­in Abo­rig­i­nal Com­mu­ni­ty Con­trolled Health Ser­vices for the past 10 years, begin­ning her health career at Bega Gar­nbir­ringu Health Ser­vice in Kal­go­or­lie, WA, before relo­cat­ing to the NT to com­plete the Diplo­ma of Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander Pri­ma­ry Health Care Practice.

In 2014, Nao­mi took on the role of Clin­i­cal Edu­ca­tor and com­plet­ed Cer­tifi­cate IV Train­ing and Assess­ing. She works at Sun­rise Health Ser­vice Abo­rig­i­nal Cor­po­ra­tion as an AHP Clin­i­cal Edu­ca­tor, work­ing with 9 com­mu­ni­ties through­out the Kather­ine region and pro­vid­ing edu­ca­tion and sup­port to remote clin­i­cal staff. Nao­mi is a descen­dent of the Meri­am (Dauareb) peo­ple of the Tor­res Strait.
