Looking for opportunities to develop your leadership skills and give back to the emerging remote health workforce as a mentor?

Effective mentoring relationships are beneficial for mentors, mentees and their work organisations. This learning module will prepare you to act as a mentor to a recent graduate, or even an experienced health professional needing support in a particular area.

We recommend you complete this course before participating in the LINKS Mentoring Program as a mentor.

Overarching goals of this module

  • Assist health practitioners to develop or refresh knowledge and skills about mentoring and what’s involved in a mentoring relationship for both mentors and mentees (in both informal or formal mentoring agreements, such as LINKS).
  • Support the development of transferable leadership capabilities.
  • Build workforce capacity and opportunities for recent graduates, early career professionals and those new to rural and remote practice.
