Australasian Foundation for Plastic Surgery

The Australasian Foundation for Plastic Surgery (the Foundation) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports quality health outcomes for those involved with Plastic Surgery, with a particular focus on rural and remote communities. The Foundation's activities are focused on Innovation, Education and Research to support its Outreach programs.

One of the Foundation’s cornerstone Outreach programs is to relieve the needs of persons suffering from burns, wounds, trauma, disfigurement, sickness, disease or other medical conditions. This is done by harnessing the philanthropic nature of Specialist Plastic Surgeons to deliver medical care in remote communities. The Foundation also educates workers in remote communities to identify and/or appropriately triage persons in need of specialist medical assistance.
