Remote Area Nurse Pam Wade encoun­ters pover­ty, dis­ease, car acci­dents and dan­ger­ous ani­mals dur­ing her work in the Arn­hem Land Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty of Man­ingri­da.

I could nev­er have imag­ined liv­ing and work­ing in a place such as the Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty of Man­ingri­da in remote Arn­hem land. 

It’s been an amaz­ing, hum­bling and sat­is­fy­ing experience. 

Through my work as a nurse at the clin­ic, I have met so many incred­i­ble peo­ple and learned so much about cul­ture and a dif­fer­ent way of life.

To think what I would have missed if I’d stayed in the south­ern states!
