The 2020 Australian guideline for prevention, diagnosis and management of acute rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart disease (RHD) were written by clinical and public health experts, researchers, and policymakers, and developed in collaboration with key stakeholders and an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander advisory group. This edition has a new focus which places people with ARF and RHD, and their families and communities, at the centre of care.
