CRANAplus is com­mit­ted to research through col­lab­o­ra­tive part­ner­ships, active­ly sup­port­ing exter­nal research projects of inter­est and facil­i­tat­ing access to cur­rent research impact­ing best prac­tice. We also com­mis­sion research of our own on issues of rel­e­vance to the remote health workforce.

We have a research sub-com­mit­­tee, com­pris­ing of CRANAplus fel­lows, exter­nal rep­re­sen­ta­tives and CRANAplus Pro­fes­sion­al Ser­vices staff, which:

  1. Con­tributes to the devel­op­ment of a CRANAplus Research policy

  2. Seeks oppor­tu­ni­ties to sup­port research in the inter­ests of CRANAplus

  3. Seeks oppor­tu­ni­ties to engage in col­lab­o­ra­tive research projects in the inter­est of CRANAplus

  4. Sup­ports the devel­op­ment of evi­dence-based remote health practice

  5. Assesses requests for CRANAplus sup­port of research projects/​proposals

  6. Inves­ti­gates the fea­si­bil­i­ty of a remote research clearinghouse

  7. Identifies research gaps and pro­vides advice regard­ing research opportunities
