This role focus­es on deliv­er­ing cul­tur­al­ly safe and effec­tive care to Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander chil­dren and families.

Con­tract Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Con­tract Length: Up to 6 months
• Pay Rate: Up to $85/​hr + super
• Inclu­sions: Free accom­mo­da­tion, trav­el cov­ered, and vehi­cle provided
• Loca­tion: Coastal QLD

Key Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

• Deliv­er­ing child and fam­i­ly health ser­vices with a focus on ear­ly child­hood development
• Pro­vid­ing cul­tur­al­ly sen­si­tive care and health pro­mo­tion to Indige­nous families
• Con­duct­ing assess­ments, vac­ci­na­tions, and refer­rals as per clin­i­cal need
• Sup­port­ing mater­nal and child health pro­grams with­in the community

Essen­tial Requirements:

• Cur­rent AHPRA reg­is­tra­tion as a Reg­is­tered Nurse
• Min­i­mum 2 years’ expe­ri­ence in Child and Fam­i­ly Health Nursing
• Rel­e­vant post-grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions in Child and Fam­i­ly Health or equiv­a­lent (desired)
• Immu­ni­sa­tion endorse­ment or cur­rent vac­ci­na­tion certification
• Cur­rent ALS/BLS certification
• Expe­ri­ence work­ing with Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander communities
• Cur­rent police clear­ance and work­ing with chil­dren check
