Are you ready to take the next step in your nurs­ing career? Join us at Port Lin­coln Hos­pi­tal as a Clin­i­cal Coor­di­na­tor and play a key role in sup­port­ing our nurs­ing team while enhanc­ing patient care across our dynam­ic health­care setting.

In this lead­er­ship posi­tion, you will sup­port the Nurse/​Midwife Unit Man­ag­er in dri­ving excel­lence, fos­ter­ing a col­lab­o­ra­tive envi­ron­ment, and ensur­ing con­ti­nu­ity of care. You will assist in man­ag­ing day-to-day oper­a­tions, includ­ing per­for­mance man­age­ment, staffing, and ros­ter­ing, while pro­mot­ing pos­i­tive prac­tice changes. As a Clin­i­cal Coor­di­na­tor, you’ll guide and men­tor less expe­ri­enced staff, con­tribut­ing to their devel­op­ment and improv­ing patient outcomes.

Key Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

  • Col­lab­o­rate with the Nurse/​Midwife Unit Man­ag­er to ensure con­sis­tent and high-qual­i­ty care delivery.
  • Sup­port the imple­men­ta­tion of prac­tice changes and con­tribute to ward/​unit/​service management.
  • Man­age per­for­mance, recruit­ment, leave, and ros­ter­ing for nurs­ing staff.
  • Over­see finan­cial plan­ning, sup­ply mon­i­tor­ing, and attend to oper­a­tional responsibilities.

What We’re Look­ing For:

  • Reg­is­tered or eli­gi­ble for reg­is­tra­tion as a Nurse or Nurse/​Midwife with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia and who holds, or who is eli­gi­ble to hold, a cur­rent prac­tic­ing certificate.
  • At least 3 years’ expe­ri­ence or cur­rent­ly clas­si­fied as a Clin­i­cal Nurse/​Midwife.
  • Strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion, prob­lem-solv­ing, and con­flict res­o­lu­tion skills.
  • Expe­ri­ence super­vis­ing stu­dent nurs­es, enrolled nurs­es, and less expe­ri­enced staff.
  • Abil­i­ty to work autonomous­ly while man­ag­ing mul­ti­ple tasks and pri­ori­tis­ing effectively.
