🩺 About the role

The Mid­wifery Group Prac­tice mid­wife will pro­vide pri­ma­ry mid­wifery care for an allo­cat­ed group of women (30−40 all-risk clients), in col­lab­o­ra­tion with oth­er health care providers with­in the Mid­wifery Group Prac­tice, at Weipa Inte­grat­ed Health Ser­vice and the sur­round­ing remote com­mu­ni­ties with­in a con­ti­nu­ity of care model.

As part of the MGP team, you’ll pro­vide con­ti­nu­ity of care to women and fam­i­lies through preg­nan­cy, birth, and the post­na­tal peri­od. You’ll be part of a sup­port­ive, col­lab­o­ra­tive team work­ing across the full scope of mid­wifery prac­tice — in a set­ting where your exper­tise real­ly makes a difference.

This isn’t city mid­wifery. You’ll get to know your clients, fol­low them through their jour­ney, and deliv­er care that’s per­son­al, empow­er­ing, and deeply rewarding.
