As a Clinical Nurse in Cancer Services, you will play a pivotal role in providing nursing leadership, governance, and comprehensive support to our cancer care coordination, infection control, palliative care, and
renal services.
Role Overview:
As the Clinical Nurse for Cancer Services, you will manage, coordinate, and deliver high- quality care to patients. You will utilise your leadership and advanced nursing skills to ensure exceptional delivery of services within the cancer care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain national competence for Registered Nurses in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Serve as a clinical expert by providing professional advice related to clinical standards and practices.
- Coordinate the operational management of the unit on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Assist with resource planning and the implementation of management strategies within the unit.
- Participate in improvement and research programmes to enhance healthcare service delivery.
Ideal Candidate:
- Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Advanced practice experience within cancer services.
- Strong planning, coordination, and decision-making skills in a clinical setting.
- Excellent team leadership and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of quality and risk management practices in healthcare.

Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program
The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses
and midwives — across a broad range of patient-facing roles — on fixed term or permanent
contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and
$17,000 in support over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service — Country
