As a Clin­i­cal Nurse in Can­cer Ser­vices, you will play a piv­otal role in pro­vid­ing nurs­ing lead­er­ship, gov­er­nance, and com­pre­hen­sive sup­port to our can­cer care coor­di­na­tion, infec­tion con­trol, pal­lia­tive care, and
renal ser­vices.

Role Overview:

As the Clin­i­cal Nurse for Can­cer Ser­vices, you will man­age, coor­di­nate, and deliv­er high- qual­i­ty care to patients. You will utilise your lead­er­ship and advanced nurs­ing skills to ensure excep­tion­al deliv­ery of ser­vices with­in the can­cer care set­ting.

Key Respon­si­bil­i­ties
:

  • Main­tain nation­al com­pe­tence for Reg­is­tered Nurs­es in accor­dance with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Australia
  • Serve as a clin­i­cal expert by pro­vid­ing pro­fes­sion­al advice relat­ed to clin­i­cal stan­dards and practices.
  • Coor­di­nate the oper­a­tional man­age­ment of the unit on a shift-by-shift basis. 
  • Assist with resource plan­ning and the imple­men­ta­tion of man­age­ment strate­gies with­in the unit. 
  • Par­tic­i­pate in improve­ment and research pro­grammes to enhance health­care ser­vice delivery.

Ide­al Candidate: 

  • Eli­gi­ble for reg­is­tra­tion as a Reg­is­tered Nurse with the Nurs­ing & Mid­wifery Board of Australia. 
  • Advanced prac­tice expe­ri­ence with­in can­cer services.
  • Strong plan­ning, coor­di­na­tion, and deci­sion-mak­ing skills in a clin­i­cal setting.
  • Excel­lent team lead­er­ship and col­lab­o­ra­tion skills.
  • Excep­tion­al com­mu­ni­ca­tion and inter­per­son­al abilities.
  • Knowl­edge of qual­i­ty and risk man­age­ment prac­tices in healthcare.

The Coun­try Nurs­ing & Mid­wifery incen­tive pro­gram is avail­able to new and exist­ing nurs­es
and mid­wives — across a broad range of patient-fac­ing roles — on fixed term or per­ma­nent
con­tracts at eli­gi­ble loca­tions. Eli­gi­ble nurs­es and mid­wives can receive between $5,000 and

The Gold­fields region of the WA Coun­try Health Ser­vice cov­ers the Gold­fields-Esper­ance
Region of West­ern Aus­tralia. The region is locat­ed in the south east­ern cor­ner of West­ern
Aus­tralia and cov­ers 770,488 sq. km (includ­ing off­shore islands). The WA Coun­try Health
Ser­vice Gold­fields con­sists of two main health cam­pus­es locat­ed in Kal­go­or­lie & Esper­ance,
