The Clinical Nurse Consultant (Nurse Navigator) position is responsible for providing a high level of communication and clinical skills to holistically assess the health and well-being of the complex needs of patients within the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).

Loca­tion: Tor­res and Cape Hos­pi­tal and Health Ser­vice, Bamaga 

Remu­ner­a­tion:

Com­pris­ing salary between $132,562.00 — $143,924.00 per annum, employ­er con­tri­bu­tion to super­an­nu­a­tion (up to 12.75%) and annu­al leave load­ing (17.5%)

Tell me more…The Clin­i­cal Nurse Con­sul­tant (Nurse Nav­i­ga­tor) posi­tion is respon­si­ble for pro­vid­ing a high lev­el of com­mu­ni­ca­tion and clin­i­cal skills to holis­ti­cal­ly assess the health and well-being of the com­plex needs of patients with­in the Tor­res and Cape Hos­pi­tal and Health Ser­vice (TCHHS).

  • Iden­ti­fied Role: Under Sec­tion 25 of the Anti-Dis­crim­i­na­tion Act 1991 (Qld), it is a gen­uine occu­pa­tion­al require­ment for the incum­bent to be Indige­nous to the Abo­rig­i­nal or Tor­res Strait Islander Community. 
  • An Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander per­son is a per­son who: 
  • iden­ti­fies as an Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander per­son; and either 
  • is of Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander descent; or 
  • is accept­ed as an Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander per­son by the Abo­rig­i­nal and/​or Tor­res Strait Islander com­mu­ni­ty in which he or she lives.
