The Team:
This posi­tion is a part of an excit­ing new team at the Launce­s­ton Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal (LGH) as part of the Rheuma­tol­ogy and Per­sis­tent Pain Ser­vice cur­rent­ly being estab­lished, enhanc­ing equi­ty of access to spe­cial­ist rheuma­tol­ogy ser­vices in North­ern Tasmania.

The Role:
This role requires an expe­ri­enced nurse who can pro­vide lead­er­ship, sup­port and expert advice to oth­er mem­bers of the health care team to ensure the effi­cient and effec­tive coor­di­na­tion and pro­vi­sion of nurs­ing care for patients with mus­cu­loskele­tal con­di­tions, as well as being a clin­i­cal resource for patients and car­ers. The Rheuma­tol­ogy CNC will also coor­di­nate and eval­u­ate the intake, plan­ning, assess­ment, eval­u­a­tion and dis­charge process­es for Rheuma­tol­ogy clients referred from both the acute sec­tor and the com­mu­ni­ty with­in an out­pa­tient setting.

You will need

  • Demon­strat­ed exten­sive expe­ri­ence, knowl­edge and under­stand­ing of mus­cu­loskele­tal con­di­tions, chron­ic dis­ease health care prin­ci­ples, con­tem­po­rary nurs­ing the­o­ry and prac­tice, and the demon­stra­tion of clin­i­cal exper­tise to apply this knowledge. 
  • High­ly devel­oped inter­per­son­al and com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills with proven abil­i­ty to func­tion effec­tive­ly with­in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary envi­ron­ment and demon­strate a capac­i­ty to pro­vide clin­i­cal lead­er­ship and exer­cise pro­fes­sion­al judge­ment and ini­tia­tive whilst work­ing with min­i­mal supervision. 
  • Demon­strat­ed abil­i­ty to work independently

Details of appoint­ment:
Per­ma­nent, full time, day work­er posi­tion, work­ing up to 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing from as soon as you can join the team!

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employ­er 12% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­ma­nia State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available:

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type

Salary Pack­ag­ing:

  • You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible.
