The Team:

The Spe­cial­ist Pal­lia­tive Care Team is a dynam­ic mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team ser­vic­ing the North West of Tas­ma­nia. As a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team of med­ical, nurs­ing and allied health, we sup­port patient and their fam­i­lies in the com­mu­ni­ty on their pal­lia­tive jour­ney as well as clin­i­cians with­in the Acute RACF and Com­mu­ni­ty set­tings with clin­i­cal knowl­edge sup­port and guid­ance. Our team works close­ly togeth­er to achieve excel­lence in health­care and improved out­comes for our consumers. 

The Role:

As an edu­ca­tor for the SPCS team, you will sup­port the learn­ing of the team, deliv­er­ing expert sup­port in the field of nurs­ing and pal­lia­tive care. For fur­ther details please refer to the state­ment of duties. 

You will need

  • Hold or work­ing towards post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion in pal­lia­tive care (desir­able)
  • Cer­tifi­cate IV in Work­place Train­ing and Assess­ment (desir­able)

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day work­er posi­tion, work­ing up to 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing from the 24th of March 2025 until 27th of March 2026

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employ­er 11.5% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­ma­nia State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023.

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type

Salary Pack­ag­ing:

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible.
