This fixed-term, full-time role offers the chance to shape pal­lia­tive care edu­ca­tion across our North West hos­pi­tals network.

You’ll work along­side ded­i­cat­ed health­care pro­fes­sion­als, devel­op­ing and deliv­er­ing edu­ca­tion pro­grams that enhance the qual­i­ty of end-of-life care. This posi­tion com­bines clin­i­cal exper­tise with teach­ing skills to build capa­bil­i­ty and con­fi­dence among nurs­ing staff in pal­lia­tive care practices.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and facil­i­tate pal­lia­tive care edu­ca­tion ses­sions for nurs­ing staff
  • Sup­port clin­i­cal teams in imple­ment­ing best-prac­tice pal­lia­tive care approaches
  • Col­lab­o­rate with mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Men­tor and guide nurs­es in devel­op­ing pal­lia­tive care competencies
  • Con­tribute to pol­i­cy devel­op­ment and qual­i­ty improve­ment initiatives
  • Pro­vide clin­i­cal sup­port and con­sul­ta­tion when needed

What We’re Look­ing For

  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion as a Reg­is­tered Nurse in Australia
  • Hold or work­ing towards post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tion in pal­lia­tive care (desir­able)
  • Cer­tifi­cate IV in Work­place Train­ing and Assess­ment (desir­able)
  • Strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion and inter­per­son­al skills
  • Abil­i­ty to work sen­si­tive­ly with patients, fam­i­lies, and colleagues
  • Com­mit­ment to con­tin­u­ous learn­ing and pro­fes­sion­al development

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day work­er posi­tion, work­ing up to 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing as soon as you can join the team until 27 of March 2026.

Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employ­er 12% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 10% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type

Salary Pack­ag­ing:

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible.
