This fixed-term, full-time role offers the chance to shape palliative care education across our North West hospitals network.
You’ll work alongside dedicated healthcare professionals, developing and delivering education programs that enhance the quality of end-of-life care. This position combines clinical expertise with teaching skills to build capability and confidence among nursing staff in palliative care practices.
What You’ll Do
- Design and facilitate palliative care education sessions for nursing staff
- Support clinical teams in implementing best-practice palliative care approaches
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Mentor and guide nurses in developing palliative care competencies
- Contribute to policy development and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide clinical support and consultation when needed
What We’re Looking For
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Hold or working towards postgraduate qualification in palliative care (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work sensitively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Details of appointment:
Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join the team until 27 of March 2026.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
