The Clin­i­cal Nurse Spe­cial­ist is an expe­ri­enced nurse who, with­in the defined area of prac­tice: Works in part­ner­ship with the Nurse Unit Man­ag­er and the Pae­di­atric Con­sul­tant Child and Ado­les­cent Psy­chi­a­trist and oth­er senior staff, to ensure the effi­cient and effec­tive pro­vi­sion of care on a des­ig­nat­ed shift, based on best prac­tice prin­ci­ples and with­in a col­lab­o­ra­tive and mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary framework.

About the role

We are seek­ing an expe­ri­enced Clin­i­cal Nurse Spe­cial­ist (CNS) Pae­di­atric Men­tal Health to join our Pae­di­atric Unit locat­ed at the North West Region­al Hospital.

What’s on offer

Per­ma­nent, full time, day work­er posi­tion, work­ing 76 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing as soon as you can join the team. Notwith­stand­ing hours may be nego­ti­at­ed with the suc­cess­ful applicant

  • Appli­cants should note that, for a peri­od of twelve months from the date of pub­li­ca­tion, this selec­tion process may be used to fill sub­se­quent or sim­i­lar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $106,570 — $1112,440 per annum. Our Employ­er 12% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­man­ian State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible. 

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available: 

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type 

Eli­gi­bil­i­ty:

Suc­cess­ful appli­cants will be required to meet the essen­tial criteria:

  1. Reg­is­tered with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia as a Reg­is­tered Nurse
  2. Cur­rent Work­ing with Chil­dren Registration

  1. Holds or is work­ing towards rel­e­vant post grad­u­ate qualifications
  2. Pre­vi­ous expe­ri­ence in lead­er­ship roles
