Your oppor­tu­ni­ty

In this role you will pro­vide a high-qual­i­ty spe­cial­ist, com­mu­ni­ty based Men­tal Health Ser­vice to clients with seri­ous men­tal health prob­lems in the South West region. You prac­tice will be in keep­ing with nation­al and state best prac­tice require­ments. You will have no direct reports or finan­cial del­e­ga­tions and will be report­ing to the Team Leader, Men­tal Health and ATODS.

The Clin­i­cal Nurse is respon­si­ble for a port­fo­lio with a focus on clin­i­cal care/​leadership, man­age­ment, edu­ca­tion and/​or research. In this role you will pro­vide direct con­sul­ta­tion and coor­di­nate refer­ral man­age­ment as well as con­tribut­ing to the devel­op­ment and ongo­ing eval­u­a­tion of the mod­el of care.

The clin­i­cal nurse assumes respon­si­bil­i­ty for pro­fes­sion­al lead­er­ship in the ser­vice and applies crit­i­cal think­ing across all the domains. You will pro­vide liai­son, edu­ca­tion and sup­port to fam­i­lies, the gen­er­al com­mu­ni­ty as well as pri­vate, pub­lic and non-gov­ern­ment providers.

Engage­ment with com­mu­ni­ty and non-gov­ern­ment ser­vices is an impor­tant com­po­nent of the role with an expec­ta­tion to lead the devel­op­ment of inno­v­a­tive ser­vice options.
