We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager who is looking for an exciting career opportunity in the Eastern Great Southern region of Western Australia!
Options include:
- A permanent position to progress or enhance you career with the opportunity to manage a small Multi-Purpose Site along with two Nursing Posts / Health Centres in a remote corner of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia
- A Fixed Term opportunity may be considered with the possibility of extension/s and/or permanency. Are you an experienced ward manager looking to progress your career and take up a leadership role as Director of Nursing – Health Service Manager. You will be supported in the transition to DON-HSM with mentorship and professional development opportunities.
The Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager is a pivotal leadership role within Ravensthorpe Health Service, overseeing the operational management and governance of key facilities including Jerramungup Health Centre and Bremer Bay Health Centre. This position requires a collaborative approach to improve health service delivery through strategic planning, quality assurance, and community engagement. The successful candidate will manage comprehensive health services, ensuring compliance with industry standards whilst fostering a culture focused on patient safety and professional development.
Ideal Candidate:
- A solid clinical background and able to support staff with complex or challenging clinical care issues. Recent experience in ED nursing is ideal.
- Proven leadership experience in senior nursing or health management roles.
- Strong financial acuity with experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Decisive critical thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement and quality assurance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experienced in clinical governance and risk management frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and sustain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for managing all aspects of the Ravensthorpe Health Service and associated centres, ensuring compliance with operational plans and WA Health standards.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives that align with the Great Southern region’s health reform strategy to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure the development and monitoring of key performance indicators in conjunction with the operational management team.
- Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives while fostering a culture of patient safety and high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and agencies to anticipate and respond to changing community health needs.
