We are currently looking for a Director of Nursing/Health Service Manager who is looking for an exciting career opportunity in the Eastern Great Southern region of Western Australia!

Options include:

  • A per­ma­nent posi­tion to progress or enhance you career with the oppor­tu­ni­ty to man­age a small Mul­ti-Pur­pose Site along with two Nurs­ing Posts / Health Cen­tres in a remote cor­ner of the Great South­ern Region of West­ern Australia
  • A Fixed Term oppor­tu­ni­ty may be con­sid­ered with the pos­si­bil­i­ty of extension/​s and/​or per­ma­nen­cy. Are you an expe­ri­enced ward man­ag­er look­ing to progress your career and take up a lead­er­ship role as Direc­tor of Nurs­ing – Health Ser­vice Man­ag­er. You will be sup­port­ed in the tran­si­tion to DON-HSM with men­tor­ship and pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment opportunities.

The Direc­tor of Nursing/​Health Ser­vice Man­ag­er is a piv­otal lead­er­ship role with­in Raven­sthor­pe Health Ser­vice, over­see­ing the oper­a­tional man­age­ment and gov­er­nance of key facil­i­ties includ­ing Jer­ra­mungup Health Cen­tre and Bre­mer Bay Health Cen­tre. This posi­tion requires a col­lab­o­ra­tive approach to improve health ser­vice deliv­ery through strate­gic plan­ning, qual­i­ty assur­ance, and com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment. The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will man­age com­pre­hen­sive health ser­vices, ensur­ing com­pli­ance with indus­try stan­dards whilst fos­ter­ing a cul­ture focused on patient safe­ty and pro­fes­sion­al development. 

Ide­al Candidate:

  • A sol­id clin­i­cal back­ground and able to sup­port staff with com­plex or chal­leng­ing clin­i­cal care issues. Recent expe­ri­ence in ED nurs­ing is ideal.
  • Proven lead­er­ship expe­ri­ence in senior nurs­ing or health man­age­ment roles.
  • Strong finan­cial acu­ity with expe­ri­ence in bud­get man­age­ment and resource allocation.
  • Deci­sive crit­i­cal think­ing skills with a focus on con­tin­u­ous improve­ment and qual­i­ty assurance.
  • Excel­lent inter­per­son­al and com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills, both writ­ten and verbal.
  • Expe­ri­enced in clin­i­cal gov­er­nance and risk man­age­ment frameworks.
  • Demon­strat­ed abil­i­ty to devel­op and sus­tain pos­i­tive rela­tion­ships with diverse stakeholders.

Key Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

  • Account­able for man­ag­ing all aspects of the Raven­sthor­pe Health Ser­vice and asso­ci­at­ed cen­tres, ensur­ing com­pli­ance with oper­a­tional plans and WA Health standards.
  • Lead strate­gic plan­ning ini­tia­tives that align with the Great South­ern region’s health reform strat­e­gy to enhance ser­vice delivery.
  • Ensure the devel­op­ment and mon­i­tor­ing of key per­for­mance indi­ca­tors in con­junc­tion with the oper­a­tional man­age­ment team.
  • Dri­ve con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment ini­tia­tives while fos­ter­ing a cul­ture of patient safe­ty and high-qual­i­ty ser­vice delivery.
  • Col­lab­o­rate with health­care pro­fes­sion­als and agen­cies to antic­i­pate and respond to chang­ing com­mu­ni­ty health needs.
