The Team:

This posi­tion works as part of the clin­i­cal team in an 18 bed Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal with a 3‑bed emer­gency depart­ment. The EN is part of the team which includes RN’s, EN’s and HCA’s. The team is sup­port­ed by a med­ical ser­vice which man­ages the inpa­tients and is on call for any emer­gency pre­sen­ta­tions. In addi­tion to the clin­i­cal team, there are part time Social Work­er, Physio, and Radi­og­ra­ph­er ser­vices. All of these ser­vices focus on pro­vid­ing health care to the peo­ple who live or are vis­it­ing the Dorset municipality.

The Role:

Under the guid­ance of the RN in Charge or NUM, pro­vide nurs­ing care to the inpa­tients with­in the North East­ern Sol­diers Memo­r­i­al Hos­pi­tal in Scotts­dale. This may also includ­ing pro­vid­ing care to any per­son who presents to the Emer­gency Depart­ment of the hospital. 

You will need

  • Min­i­mum of 12 months expe­ri­ence in work­ing in a sub­a­cute or acute health setting. 
  • Pro­vide care to inpa­tients under the guid­ance of the RN.
  • Pro­vide care to emer­gency pre­sen­ta­tion under the guid­ance of the RN

Details of appointment:

Per­ma­nent part time, shift work­er (ful­ly rota­tion­al) posi­tion, work­ing 32 hours per fort­night, com­menc­ing as soon as you can join our team.

Appli­cants should note that, for a peri­od of twelve months from the date of pub­li­ca­tion, this selec­tion process may be used to fill sub­se­quent or sim­i­lar full time, part time, fixed term and casu­al vacancies.

Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employ­er 12% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­ma­nia State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023.

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available:

  • Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type

Salary Pack­ag­ing:

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing liv­ing expens­es up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible.
