The Team:
This position works as part of the clinical team in an 18 bed District Hospital with a 3‑bed emergency department. The EN is part of the team which includes RN’s, EN’s and HCA’s. The team is supported by a medical service which manages the inpatients and is on call for any emergency presentations. In addition to the clinical team, there are part time Social Worker, Physio, and Radiographer services. All of these services focus on providing health care to the people who live or are visiting the Dorset municipality.
The Role:
Under the guidance of the RN in Charge or NUM, provide nursing care to the inpatients within the North Eastern Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Scottsdale. This may also including providing care to any person who presents to the Emergency Department of the hospital.
You will need
- Minimum of 12 months experience in working in a subacute or acute health setting.
- Provide care to inpatients under the guidance of the RN.
- Provide care to emergency presentation under the guidance of the RN.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, fixed term and casual vacancies.
Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (holds a Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines)
