We are seek­ing expe­ri­enced and high­ly moti­vat­ed Reg­is­tered Nurs­es for short to long-term con­tracts pro­vid­ing pri­ma­ry health­care ser­vices and emer­gency med­i­cine to remote Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ties in the North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry and West­ern Australia.

• There are flex­i­ble con­tract­ed posi­tions avail­able with FIFO contracts.
• Start dates will vary depend­ing on loca­tion, and length of availability.
• In addi­tion, we offer free trav­el to and from con­tract and free accom­mo­da­tion on-site for all contracts. 

As a remote area nurse, you will be respon­si­ble for con­duct­ing patient assess­ments, diag­noses, and treat­ment plans, admin­is­ter­ing med­ica­tions and treat­ments as pre­scribed, pro­vid­ing edu­ca­tion and sup­port to patients and fam­i­lies on health-relat­ed issues, and main­tain­ing accu­rate and up-to-date med­ical records.

A nurse with exist­ing remote area expe­ri­ence is desir­able but will con­sid­er those with emer­gency or pri­ma­ry health nurs­ing expe­ri­ence, but depend­ing on years of expe­ri­ence, you may be eli­gi­ble for a position.

As a min­i­mum, you will need an ALS and Immu­ni­sa­tion Giv­ing cert for these con­tracts and while it is pre­ferred that you have com­plet­ed the Remote Emer­gency Care (REC) or equiv­a­lent, it is not essential.
