About the Role

As a Remote Area Nurse, you will be a key part of a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team deliv­er­ing holis­tic, patient-cen­tred care to Indige­nous and remote com­mu­ni­ties. Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include:

  • Pro­vid­ing com­pre­hen­sive pri­ma­ry health care ser­vices in a remote clin­ic setting
  • Respond­ing to emer­gen­cies and pro­vid­ing sta­bil­i­sa­tion before retrieval
  • Pro­mot­ing health edu­ca­tion and pre­ven­ta­tive health strategies
  • Work­ing col­lab­o­ra­tive­ly with Abo­rig­i­nal Health Prac­ti­tion­ers and oth­er clin­ic staff
  • Par­tic­i­pat­ing in on-call and after-hours ros­ters as required

What You’ll Need

  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with AHPRA as a Reg­is­tered Nurse
  • Remote emer­gency Man­age­ment, includ­ing advanced life sup­port and triage
  • Mid­wifery Emer­gency Management
  • At least 2 years’ expe­ri­ence in a pri­ma­ry health or remote clin­i­cal setting
  • Immu­ni­sa­tion Provider
  • Abil­i­ty to work inde­pen­dent­ly in a cross-cul­tur­al and mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary environment
  • Cur­rent Driver’s Licence, Nation­al Police Clear­ance (less that 6 months old), and NT Work­ing with Chil­dren Check 
  • Vac­ci­na­tions sta­tus as per NT health regulations
