We are cur­rent­ly seek­ing expe­ri­enced RNs and RMs for short-term con­tracts at Can­ber­ra Hos­pi­tal and North Can­ber­ra Hos­pi­tal over the 12 months, with the poten­tial to tran­si­tion into ongo­ing or per­ma­nent roles.

Whether you’re man­ag­ing acute pre­sen­ta­tions in ED or sup­port­ing women and fam­i­lies across the child­birth con­tin­u­um in mater­ni­ty, you’ll be an inte­gral part of a pro­fes­sion­al and com­pas­sion­ate team.

Dur­ing your 8 – 12-week con­tract, you may be work­ing across:

Can­ber­ra Hos­pi­tal Emer­gency Depart­ment and Mater­ni­ty Unit

North Can­ber­ra Hos­pi­tal Emer­gency Depart­ment and Mater­ni­ty Services

Ben­e­fits

Skills and Require­ments

For Emer­gency Nurses: 

• Unre­strict­ed AHPRA registration
• Min­i­mum 5 years of Emergency/​Acute experience 
• ALS, Triage, and Resus certification 
• Abil­i­ty to thrive in a high-pres­sure, fast-paced environment 

For Mid­wives:

• Unre­strict­ed AHPRA reg­is­tra­tion as an RN & RM 
• Min­i­mum 5 years of recent mid­wifery expe­ri­ence (ante­na­tal, birth suite, postnatal) 
• FSEP, CTG, and neona­tal resus­ci­ta­tion cer­ti­fi­ca­tion desirable 
• Com­mit­ment to woman-cen­tred, cul­tur­al­ly safe care
