$250,000 to $260,000 per annum

Effec­tive Salary

$300,431 to $311,415 per annum

About the role
The Gen­er­al Prac­ti­tion­er — Child Health (GP-CH) pro­vides cul­tur­al­ly safe GP ser­vices with a par­tic­u­lar focus on the health of chil­dren who are clients of Con­gress. The Gen­er­al Prac­ti­tion­er will pro­vide pri­ma­ry health care as a mem­ber of a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team at a ded­i­cat­ed child health assess­ment clin­ic for healthy chil­dren. The Gen­er­al Prac­ti­tion­er will at least do 5 ses­sions per week and will be able to work in the gen­er­al clin­ic. The posi­tion works to the prin­ci­ples, val­ues and phi­los­o­phy of Con­gress as an Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty-con­trolled health service.

What we’re look­ing for
We’re look­ing for GPs who can build strong, trust­ing rela­tion­ships with both child patients and the com­mu­ni­ty. If you have:

  • Cur­rent AHPRA registration.
  • RACGP or ACR­RM Fel­low­ship or sig­nif­i­cant expe­ri­ence in Gen­er­al Practice 
  • Rel­e­vant Child Health experience 
  • Com­mit­ment to inte­grat­ing Abo­rig­i­nal val­ues in practice. 
  • Will­ing­ness for, and under­stand­ing of, remote area work; and
