The NT Depart­ment of Health are seek­ing an enthu­si­as­tic Nurse to join our mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team in Alice Springs. In this role you will pro­vide com­pre­hen­sive assess­ments, planned inter­ven­tions and care coor­di­na­tion for peo­ple with cog­ni­tive concerns/​dementia with­in Cen­tral Aus­tralia, in addi­tion to edu­cat­ing and train­ing clients, car­ers, fam­i­lies and oth­er ser­vice providers.

The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will be expe­ri­enced in the pro­vi­sion of assess­ment and inter­ven­tions for peo­ple with demen­tia and will work well with­in a team envi­ron­ment. You will demon­strate and pro­mote a learn­ing envi­ron­ment through clin­i­cal sup­port, instruc­tion, and feed­back includ­ing men­tor­ing stu­dents, grad­u­ates and less expe­ri­enced staff across the team, and will con­tribute to the devel­op­ment and imple­men­ta­tion of local/​regional policy.

To be suc­cess­ful, you will hold demen­tia spe­cif­ic qual­i­fi­ca­tions or will be sup­port­ed to obtain with­in 6 months of employ­ment and must have cur­rent Aus­tralian Health Prac­ti­tion­er Reg­u­la­tion Agency (AHPRA) reg­is­tra­tion and an NT Driver’s Licence.
