About the role
The Aus­tralian Fam­i­ly Part­ner­ship Pro­gram {FPP) is a vol­un­tary, evi­dence-based, home vis­i­ta­tion pro­gram that aims to improve mater­nal and child health and to improve par­ents’ life course. Reg­is­tered Nurses/​Mid­wives and Abo­rig­i­nal Fam­i­ly Part­ner­ship Work­ers work with eli­gi­ble women from ear­ly in the wom­an’s preg­nan­cy until her child turns two.

Work­ing in Alice Springs, the Con­gress Nurse Home Vis­i­tor and Fam­i­ly Part­ner­ship Work­er devel­op long-term rela­tion­ships with clients that sup­port them to recog­nise their strengths, build skills and con­fi­dence, to access ser­vices and to improve their life course The posi­tion offers a high lev­el of auton­o­my, flex­i­bil­i­ty and per­son­al satisfaction.
