Dri­ve clin­i­cal excel­lence across East Arn­hem — lead safe­ty, qual­i­ty, and accred­i­ta­tion in remote health with impact, adven­ture, and pur­pose.

The Role

As the Nurse Man­age­ment Coor­di­na­tor Safe­ty and Qual­i­ty, you will be respon­si­ble for man­ag­ing the clin­i­cal safe­ty, qual­i­ty and accred­i­ta­tion pro­gram for Pop­u­la­tion and Pri­ma­ry Health Care (PPHC) and Safe­ty and Qual­i­ty teams.
You’ll sup­port the ongo­ing sys­tems eval­u­a­tion fos­ter­ing a cul­ture of con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment and assist with inves­ti­ga­tions of seri­ous adverse inci­dents.
You’ll also trav­el to remote areas by 4WD, or by light plane as required.

About you

You’re a strate­gic thinker with a pas­sion for improv­ing health­care out­comes and dri­ving con­tin­u­ous improve­ment. To be suc­cess­ful you’ll have:

  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia or eli­gi­ble for same.
  • Proven advanced clin­i­cal knowl­edge and skills, in Pri­ma­ry Health, or relat­ed area sup­port­ed by strong deci­sion-mak­ing and prob­lem-solv­ing skills
  • Proven pro­fi­cien­cy in under­stand­ing and apply­ing pro­fes­sion­al bod­ies of knowl­edge to pro­vide advice and support
  • Expe­ri­ence sup­port­ing local/​region­al pol­i­cy devel­op­ment, inter­pret­ing pol­i­cy and prece­dent, and con­tribut­ing to change man­age­ment initiatives.
  • Well-devel­oped knowl­edge and under­stand­ing of social and cul­tur­al fac­tors influ­enc­ing the pro­vi­sion of health care

Ongo­ing appoint­ment is sub­ject to attain­ment of Grad­u­ate Diplo­ma, or
equiv­a­lent, beyond entry-to-prac­tice in Safe­ty and Qual­i­ty or Pri­ma­ry Health Care, or relat­ed area.
