The Role
As the Nurse Management Coordinator Safety and Quality, you will be responsible for managing the clinical safety, quality and accreditation program for Population and Primary Health Care (PPHC) and Safety and Quality teams. 
You’ll support the ongoing systems evaluation fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement and assist with investigations of serious adverse incidents.
You’ll also travel to remote areas by 4WD, or by light plane as required.
About you
You’re a strategic thinker with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes and driving continuous improvement. To be successful you’ll have:
- Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
- Proven advanced clinical knowledge and skills, in Primary Health, or related area supported by strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Proven proficiency in understanding and applying professional bodies of knowledge to provide advice and support
- Experience supporting local/regional policy development, interpreting policy and precedent, and contributing to change management initiatives.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of social and cultural factors influencing the provision of health care
Ongoing appointment is subject to attainment of Graduate Diploma, or
equivalent, beyond entry-to-practice in Safety and Quality or Primary Health Care, or related area.
