  • Nurse Lev­el 4 RDO — Remu­ner­a­tion Pack­age Range $145,600 — $156,296 (includ­ing salary $123,717 — $134,257)

  • One vacan­cy is avail­able, either ongo­ing or fixed for 18 months.

The Role

As the Nurse Clin­i­cal Spe­cial­ist (Pre­ventable Chron­ic Con­di­tions Edu­ca­tor), you will pro­vide spe­cial­ist clin­i­cal out­reach care to remote clients and spe­cial­ist sup­port, advice, and edu­ca­tion to PPHC staff with the spe­cif­ic focus on improv­ing out­comes in ear­ly detec­tion and man­age­ment of pre­ventable chron­ic con­di­tions in a cul­tur­al­ly sen­si­tive manner.

You’ll be account­able for pro­vid­ing sound pro­fes­sion­al advice and for assess­ment, plan­ning, review, eval­u­a­tion, and coor­di­na­tion of com­pre­hen­sive client care and/​or case management.

About You

To be suc­cess­ful in this role, you’ll have:

  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia or eli­gi­ble for same.
  • High-lev­el clin­i­cal knowl­edge and skills in Pre­ventable Chron­ic Con­di­tions or relat­ed field, sup­port­ed by strong deci­sion-mak­ing and prob­lem- solv­ing skills.
  • Com­mit­ment to a learn­ing cul­ture through clin­i­cal guid­ance and mentoring.
  • Abil­i­ty to trav­el to remote com­mu­ni­ties by 4WD or light air­craft as required. 
  • Hold a cur­rent NT driver’s licence (or eli­gi­ble to obtain) and be con­fi­dent dri­ving a man­u­al vehi­cle in region­al and remote settings.
