NT Health man­ages the North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry pub­lic health sys­tem, oper­at­ing across 5 ser­vice deliv­ery regions, 6 hos­pi­tals, 74 health clin­ics and 7 cor­po­rate offices. We work togeth­er as one sys­tem in part­ner­ship with indi­vid­u­als, fam­i­lies, the com­mu­ni­ty, Abo­rig­i­nal heath organ­i­sa­tions and stake­hold­ers to pro­vide high qual­i­ty, evi­dence-based, patient-cen­tred care. 

As a Remote Area Nurse, you will be respon­si­ble for deliv­er­ing pri­ma­ry health­care ser­vices to remote areas with­in the Bark­ly Region in the North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry. You will pro­vide emer­gency care and play a vital role in enhanc­ing health out­comes for Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander clients and their fam­i­lies resid­ing in the remote com­mu­ni­ties of the Bark­ly Region.

You will apply your spe­cial­ist knowl­edge, skills, attrib­ut­es and abil­i­ties with­in a defined prac­tice area in ther­a­peu­tic and pro­fes­sion­al rela­tion­ships with indi­vid­u­als, as well as with fam­i­lies, groups and com­mu­ni­ties. You will pro­vide sound pro­fes­sion­al advice and be respon­si­ble for assess­ment, plan­ning, review, eval­u­a­tion and coor­di­na­tion of com­pre­hen­sive client care and/​or case man­age­ment with­in the spe­cial­i­ty area. 

To be eli­gi­ble for this posi­tion, you will have cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia or be eli­gi­ble for the same.
