As the Nurse/ Midwife Management Coordinator you will be responsible for the day to day operational and personnel management of a Remote Primary Health Centre, ensuring services are delivered cost effectively and culturally appropriately to meet the needs of clients and their families.

  • Nurse Lev­el 5 RDO — Remu­ner­a­tion Pack­age Range $160,157 — $166,812 (includ­ing salary $136,235 — $143,391) + allowances
  • Pri­ma­ry and Pub­lic Health care Remote Services
  • Alcoo­ta (Engawala), Finke (Aputu­la), Hermannsburg/​Ntaria, Kings Canyon, Mt Liebig-Amuntur­rng, Papun­ya, Ti Tree, Yuendumu 
  • Sev­er­al full time ongo­ing vacan­cies are available

You’ll lead a small mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary health team, over­see clin­i­cal gov­er­nance ensur­ing safe prac­tice in all aspects of ser­vice deliv­ery and par­tic­i­pate in a 24/7 Emer­gency on-call ros­ter with poten­tial trav­el being required to pro­vide relief in oth­er remote sites at short notice.

About you
You are a pas­sion­ate Nurse or Mid­wife leader, com­mit­ted to deliv­er­ing high-qual­i­ty care in remote com­mu­ni­ties. To be suc­cess­ful you’ll have:

  • Cur­rent reg­is­tra­tion with Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia or eli­gi­ble for same. 
  • Min­i­mum 4 years broad clin­i­cal nurs­ing expe­ri­ence, with 2 years in a remote setting 
  • A cur­rent vac­ci­na­tion, remote emer­gency and mater­ni­ty emer­gency certifications. 
  • Expe­ri­ence dri­ving a man­u­al vehi­cle, with eli­gi­bil­i­ty to obtain an NT Dri­vers license 
  • Abil­i­ty to trav­el via 4WD or light air­craft to remote com­mu­ni­ties in Cen­tral Australia.

Ongo­ing appoint­ment is sub­ject to attain­ment of Grad­u­ate Diplo­ma, or equiv­a­lent, beyond entry-to-prac­tice in Pri­ma­ry Health Care or relat­ed area.
