Nurse/Midwife Management Coordinator - Remote

As the Nurse/ Midwife Management Coordinator you will be responsible for the day to day operational and personnel management of a Remote Primary Health Centre, ensuring services are delivered cost effectively and culturally appropriately to meet the needs of clients and their families.
- Nurse Level 5 RDO — Remuneration Package Range $160,157 — $166,812 (including salary $136,235 — $143,391) + allowances
- Primary and Public Health care Remote Services
- Alcoota (Engawala), Finke (Aputula), Hermannsburg/Ntaria, Kings Canyon, Mt Liebig-Amunturrng, Papunya, Ti Tree, Yuendumu
- Several full time ongoing vacancies are available
You’ll lead a small multidisciplinary health team, oversee clinical governance ensuring safe practice in all aspects of service delivery and participate in a 24/7 Emergency on-call roster with potential travel being required to provide relief in other remote sites at short notice.
About you
You are a passionate Nurse or Midwife leader, committed to delivering high-quality care in remote communities. To be successful you’ll have:
- Current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligible for same.
- Minimum 4 years broad clinical nursing experience, with 2 years in a remote setting
- A current vaccination, remote emergency and maternity emergency certifications.
- Experience driving a manual vehicle, with eligibility to obtain an NT Drivers license
- Ability to travel via 4WD or light aircraft to remote communities in Central Australia.
Ongoing appointment is subject to attainment of Graduate Diploma, or equivalent, beyond entry-to-practice in Primary Health Care or related area.
