The Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er – Roma will deliv­er an advanced lev­el of care and spe­cialised clin­i­cal exper­tise with­in the Emer­gency Depart­ment and Pri­ma­ry Care Clin­ics in accor­dance with his/​her scope of prac­tice with­in the rur­al and remote con­text. This includes assess­ment, diag­no­sis, plan­ning, imple­men­ta­tion and eval­u­a­tion of care for patients in a rural/​remote setting.

The Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er will have the author­i­ty to order and inter­pret diag­nos­tic tests, pre­scribe phar­ma­co­log­i­cal and non-phar­ma­co­log­i­cal ther­a­pies, and pro­vide direct refer­ral to oth­er health­care pro­fes­sion­als. The Nurse Prac­ti­tion­er will work with mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary teams to pro­vide holis­tic care to clients in acute, com­mu­ni­ty and pri­ma­ry care set­tings with­in the Roma Hos­pi­tal Group.
