We’re looking for a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to support our Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in our Renal Dialysis Unit.

About the Role

In this lead­er­ship role, you’ll deliv­er per­son-cen­tered clin­i­cal care and man­age indi­vid­ual cas­es, while also men­tor­ing less expe­ri­enced staff.

Key Respon­si­bil­i­ties

  • Enhance Patient Care: Col­lab­o­rate with the NUM and fel­low ANUMs to ensure seam­less haemodial­y­sis, peri­toneal dial­y­sis and home patient care deliv­ery and patient training.
  • Dri­ve Improve­ments: Assist in imple­ment­ing prac­tice changes that enhance patient outcomes.
  • Sup­port Man­age­ment Tasks: Work along­side the NUM on per­for­mance eval­u­a­tions, recruit­ment, staffing, and finan­cial planning.

This is an excit­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty for an expe­ri­enced or inspir­ing leader to sup­port the NUM in lead­ing a ded­i­cat­ed, and pro­gres­sive team focused on per­son-cen­tred care, excel­lence, trans­paren­cy, and pos­i­tive work­place culture.

Essen­tial Criteria

  • Reg­is­tra­tion: Must be reg­is­tered or eli­gi­ble for reg­is­tra­tion as a Nurse/​Midwife with the Nurs­ing and Mid­wifery Board of Aus­tralia, hold­ing a cur­rent prac­tic­ing certificate.
  • Expe­ri­ence: A min­i­mum of 3 years of post-reg­is­tra­tion nurs­ing expe­ri­ence, or cur­rent­ly clas­si­fied as a Clin­i­cal Nurse/​Midwife.
  • Clin­i­cal Com­pe­tence: Demon­strat­ed abil­i­ty to pro­vide high-qual­i­ty, per­son-cen­tered clin­i­cal care in a fast-paced environment.

Port Pirie Region­al Health Ser­vice is a 52 bed Acute facil­i­ty inclu­sive of Emer­gency, Peri­op­er­a­tive, Renal Dial­y­sis, Chemother­a­py, Birthing, Out­pa­tient Ser­vices, Acute Med­ical and Acute Sur­gi­cal Ser­vices with a co-locat­ed Res­i­den­tial Aged Care Facil­i­ty — Ham­mill House.

Port Pirie Renal Dial­y­sis Unit is a dynam­ic ser­vice, oper­at­ing 6 days per week which pro­vides com­pre­hen­sive renal dial­y­sis ser­vices for con­sumers with­in the region.

Led by a ded­i­cat­ed, high­ly skilled, val­ues dri­ven lead­er­ship team, the depart­ment is focussed on best-prac­tice, evi­dence-based renal dial­y­sis services.
