The Role:

We are seek­ing com­pas­sion­ate, skilled, and team-ori­ent­ed Reg­is­tered Nurs­es to join our mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team at West Coast Dis­trict Hos­pi­tal, pro­vid­ing care across:

• Emer­gency First Response Care
• Sub-Acute Inpa­tient services
• Res­i­den­tial aged care home

As a Reg­is­tered Nurse, you will:

• Deliv­er safe, high-qual­i­ty, per­son-cen­tred nurs­ing care in col­lab­o­ra­tion with patients, fam­i­lies, and the health­care team.
• Plan, imple­ment, and eval­u­ate care in accor­dance with pro­fes­sion­al stan­dards and best prac­tice guidelines.
• Con­tribute to a pos­i­tive team cul­ture and active­ly par­tic­i­pate in safe­ty, qual­i­ty, and con­tin­u­ous improve­ment initiatives.
• Main­tain accu­rate doc­u­men­ta­tion and uphold com­pli­ance with rel­e­vant leg­is­la­tion, poli­cies, and procedures.
• Engage in pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment and sup­port the learn­ing of oth­ers through ori­en­ta­tion and preceptorship.

You will need:

• Clin­i­cal Capa­bil­i­ty: Sound knowl­edge of nurs­ing prin­ci­ples and the abil­i­ty to apply them across emer­gency, inpa­tient, and aged care settings.
• Team­work & Com­mu­ni­ca­tion: Strong inter­per­son­al and com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills, with the abil­i­ty to work effec­tive­ly in a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team.
• Com­mit­ment to Qual­i­ty: Under­stand­ing of con­tin­u­ous qual­i­ty improve­ment and evi­dence-based practice.

Details of appointment:

Per­ma­nent, full time and part time, shift work­er posi­tion, work­ing up to 76 hours per fortnight.

*notwith­stand­ing hours to be nego­ti­at­ed with the suc­cess­ful applicant.

Appli­cants should note that, for a peri­od of twelve months from the date of pub­li­ca­tion, this selec­tion process may be used to fill sub­se­quent or sim­i­lar full time, part time, and casu­al vacancies.

Salary:

$78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employ­er 12% super­an­nu­a­tion con­tri­bu­tion is on top of this amount.

• Salary range is in accor­dance with Nurs­es and Mid­wives (Tas­ma­nia State Ser­vice) Agree­ment 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is sub­ject to suc­cess­ful appli­ca­tion for pro­gres­sion to Grade 4 through a For­mal Capa­bil­i­ty Assess­ment, demon­strat­ing advanced prac­tice, lead­er­ship, and con­tri­bu­tion to clin­i­cal edu­ca­tion, safe­ty and qual­i­ty, and prac­tice development.

In addi­tion, the fol­low­ing allowances cal­cu­lat­ed on the salaried incre­men­tal point may be available:

• Post Grad­u­ate Allowance of up to 10% based on qual­i­fi­ca­tion type (RN)

Salary Pack­ag­ing:

You’ll have access to salary pack­age a range of ben­e­fits includ­ing up to $9,010 for liv­ing expens­es + $2,650 for meal enter­tain­ment each FBT year + oth­er ben­e­fits if eligible.

Region­al Allowances

• Remote and Rur­al Pro­fes­sion­al Devel­op­ment Allowance of $3, 797 per annum
• 10% remote allowance
