Red Lily Health Board is an Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ty-con­trolled health ser­vice focused on improv­ing health out­comes across West Arn­hem. We pro­vide strong cul­tur­al induc­tion and sup­port to ensure our team is well-pre­pared to work in a remote Indige­nous setting.

About the Role

As part of a small, com­mit­ted health team, you’ll deliv­er vital pri­ma­ry health­care, includ­ing acute care, chron­ic dis­ease man­age­ment, health edu­ca­tion, and com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment. You’ll work along­side Abo­rig­i­nal Health Work­ers, local staff, and vis­it­ing GPs, with 24/7 remote med­ical sup­port and retrieval services.

Min­ji­lang Health Cen­tre is staffed by two RANs, Abo­rig­i­nal Health Work­er, with the sup­port of com­mu­ni­ty dri­vers and recep­tion staff. The com­mu­ni­ty is ser­viced by a range of out­reach ser­vices with the GP vis­it­ing once a week. The North­ern Ter­ri­to­ry Health Depart­ment Rur­al Med­ical Prac­ti­tion­ers pro­vide 24-hour Phone sup­port, and in part­ner­ship with Care­Flight coor­di­nate 24-hour retrieval services.

Key Require­ments

• AHPRA Reg­is­tra­tion
• Expe­ri­ence in Remote Area Nurs­ing in Australia
• Strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion and team­work skills
• Man­u­al driver’s license, Nation­al Police Check, Ochre Card
• Will­ing­ness to trav­el by light air­craft and 4WD, and par­tic­i­pate in a 24-hour on-call roster

Desir­able: Mid­wifery, Child Health, Emer­gency, Men­tal Health, or PHC qualifications.
