We are seek­ing expe­ri­enced and high­ly moti­vat­ed Reg­is­tered Nurs­es for short to long-term con­tracts pro­vid­ing pri­ma­ry health­care ser­vices and emer­gency med­i­cine to remote Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ties in West­ern Australia.

About the Role

As a Remote Area Nurse, you’ll be the back­bone of health­care in the com­mu­ni­ty. Your respon­si­bil­i­ties will include:

• Con­duct­ing com­pre­hen­sive patient assess­ments, diag­noses, and cre­at­ing treat­ment plans
• Admin­is­ter­ing med­ica­tions and treat­ments as prescribed
• Pro­vid­ing vital health edu­ca­tion and sup­port to patients and their families
• Main­tain­ing accu­rate and up-to-date med­ical records
• A pas­sion for Abo­rig­i­nal health and mak­ing a real dif­fer­ence in remote areas is essential

What You Need

• Unre­strict­ed AHPRA reg­is­tra­tion. (Please note: Spon­sor­ship is not avail­able for these roles).
• Advanced Life Sup­port (ALS)
• Immu­ni­sa­tion Giv­ing certificate
• Exist­ing remote area expe­ri­ence is high­ly desirable
• We will also con­sid­er can­di­dates with strong Emer­gency or Pri­ma­ry Health nurs­ing expe­ri­ence (eli­gi­bil­i­ty will depend on your years of experience)
• Remote Emer­gency Care (REC) cer­tifi­cate or equiv­a­lent Pre­ferred (but not essential)
