The Senior Dietitian – Food Services is an experienced and highly skilled clinician who provides leadership and expertise in nutrition, hydration, and food services across the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN).

About the Role The Senior Dietit­ian – Food Ser­vices is an expe­ri­enced and high­ly skilled clin­i­cian who pro­vides lead­er­ship and exper­tise in nutri­tion, hydra­tion, and food ser­vices across the Eyre and Far North Local Health Net­work (EFNL­HN).

Based in Port Lin­coln, this role is respon­si­ble for ensur­ing safe, high-qual­i­ty, and con­sumer-cen­tred nutri­tion­al care for res­i­dents and patients across EFNLHN’s Mul­ti-Pur­pose Ser­vices and acute hos­pi­tal sites. You will lead ser­vice devel­op­ment, clin­i­cal projects, and qual­i­ty improve­ment ini­tia­tives to opti­mise nutri­tion and meal­time expe­ri­ences, align­ing food ser­vices with best prac­tice stan­dards and accred­i­ta­tion requirements.

Key respon­si­bil­i­ties include:

  • Pro­vid­ing pro­fes­sion­al lead­er­ship and advice on menu plan­ning, nutri­tion stan­dards, and ther­a­peu­tic diets.
  • Lead­ing audits, menu reviews, and con­sumer sat­is­fac­tion eval­u­a­tions relat­ed to food and nutrition.
  • Col­lab­o­rat­ing with clin­i­cal, cor­po­rate, and food ser­vice teams to deliv­er cul­tur­al­ly safe and per­son-cen­tred nutri­tion care.
  • Sup­port­ing accred­i­ta­tion process­es and report­ing on qual­i­ty and per­for­mance indi­ca­tors relat­ed to food services.
  • Pro­vid­ing clin­i­cal super­vi­sion, edu­ca­tion, and men­tor­ing for dieti­tians, allied health assis­tants, and students.

About You
You are an inno­v­a­tive and moti­vat­ed dietit­ian who demon­strates advanced clin­i­cal knowl­edge, lead­er­ship skills, and a pas­sion for improv­ing food and nutri­tion out­comes in health and aged care settings.

To be suc­cess­ful, you will have:

  • A recog­nised qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Dietet­ics and eli­gi­bil­i­ty for full mem­ber­ship with Dieti­tians Australia.
  • Demon­strat­ed expe­ri­ence in food ser­vice dietet­ics and/​or lead­er­ship in health or aged care settings.
  • Strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion and col­lab­o­ra­tion skills with the abil­i­ty to lead mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary teams.
  • Expe­ri­ence in qual­i­ty improve­ment, ser­vice devel­op­ment, and clin­i­cal education.
  • A com­mit­ment to cul­tur­al­ly safe and inclu­sive practice.
  • Par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Accred­it­ed Prac­tis­ing Dietit­ian (APD) pro­gram is desirable.
