About us

The Broome Region­al Abo­rig­i­nal Med­ical Ser­vice (BRAMS) has been a vital part of the Broome com­mu­ni­ty for over 45 years. As the first remote Abo­rig­i­nal Med­ical Ser­vice in West­ern Aus­tralia, BRAMS deliv­ers cul­tur­al­ly respon­sive health care, social and emo­tion­al well­be­ing ser­vices, and NDIS sup­port to over 6,500 Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander peo­ple each year.

About the role

This excit­ing oppor­tu­ni­ty allows you to lead the deliv­ery of flex­i­ble and time­ly Speech ther­a­py ser­vices in BRAMS’ Aged and Dis­abil­i­ty ser­vices. You’ll focus on opti­mis­ing inde­pen­dence, enhanc­ing health and well­be­ing, and improv­ing the qual­i­ty of life for Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Islander consumers.

As part of a mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary team, you’ll con­tribute to BRAMS’ expand­ing com­mu­ni­ty ser­vices and help shape the future of Speech ther­a­py care in our organisation.

About you

We’re seek­ing an expe­ri­enced and moti­vat­ed Speech Pathol­o­gist who holds cur­rent AHPRA reg­is­tra­tion. Can­di­dates with expe­ri­ence in aged care, dis­abil­i­ty ser­vices, or work­ing with Abo­rig­i­nal com­mu­ni­ties are encour­aged to apply, though this is not essential.

Key attrib­ut­es:

  • A recog­nised qual­i­fi­ca­tion in Speech Pathology.
  • Strong com­mu­ni­ca­tion and team­work skills.
  • Abil­i­ty to inde­pen­dent­ly man­age a work­load and build pro­duc­tive relationships.
  • Expe­ri­ence in clin­i­cal man­age­ment sys­tems and a com­mit­ment to cul­tur­al­ly respon­sive care.
