As a Workforce Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the rural and remote health workforce. You’ll lead initiatives that attract, support, and retain healthcare professionals, delivering programs that make a real difference to clinicians and communities.

About the Role
As a Workforce Support Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the rural and remote health workforce. You’ll lead initiatives that attract, support, and retain healthcare professionals, delivering programs that make a real difference to clinicians and communities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with health organisations, universities, and stakeholders.
- Coordinating scholarships, grants, mentoring, and workforce pathway initiatives.
- Promoting and delivering professional development programs (including webinars, e‑learning, and events).
- Representing CRANAplus and the remote health workforce in forums, submissions, and conferences.
- Supporting culturally safe, inclusive, and collaborative practices across our work
About you
We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated professional who brings:
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse (with or without Midwifery).
- Strong experience in rural and remote health nursing.
- Background in workforce development, project management, or program delivery.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to culturally safe practice and working respectfully with diverse communities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with initiative and innovation.
Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing, Primary Health Care, or Public Health will be highly regarded.
