The annual CRANAplus Awards celebrate the outstanding individuals and teams going above and beyond to keep the communities they serve healthy and well. Whether you are a health professional getting behind a colleague or a community member looking to say thank you, make sure to nominate the worthy recipient in remote health’s premier national awards program. Nominations are judged by an expert panel before winners are announced at our conference and provided a trophy and small cash price of $500. Open categories are listed below.

2025 Award Categories

  1. Aurora Award for the Remote and Isolated Health Professional of the Year: Recognises an individual who contributes to the growth of the workforce and significantly enhances remote health through high-level commitment.

  2. Excellence in Remote and Isolated Health Practice Award: Recognises a remote and isolated health professional who demonstrates extraordinary commitment to excellence in remote and isolated health practice.

  3. Early to Remote Practice Award: Recognises an emerging remote health professional currently working in a remote area who has less than three years of experience in remote area practice.

  4. Collaborative Team Award: Recognises the innovative, collaborative teamwork of a team working in a remote and isolated health facility or delivering services to clients in remote & isolated Australia.

  5. Excellence in Education and/or Research Award: Recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution to remote and isolated health through education and/or research.
